Anchorage, Alaska, November 1, 2018 — The law firm of Clayton & Diemer, LLC is pleased to announce that attorneys Mike Zahare and Ken Hannam have joined the firm.  Mr. Zahare and Mr. Hannam were most recently with the firm of Matthews & Zahare, P.C.  With the appointment of Thomas Matthews to the Anchorage Superior Court bench effective November 1, 2018, Matthews & Zahare concluded its operations on October 31, 2018.

Mr. Zahare brings more than 34 years of civil litigation and business transactional legal services to individuals and businesses throughout Alaska. He was born and raised in Fairbanks and after completing his education in 1984, returned to Alaska.

For over 35 years, Mr. Hannam has been a civil litigator with an emphasis on insurance and maritime matters and is a former partner with the Seattle-based firm of LeGros Buchanan & Paul.

“We are very pleased that Mike and Ken have joined Clayton & Diemer,” said Al Clayton. “We all have a common past connection to the prior Alaska law firm of Bradbury, Bliss & Riordan. Mike and Ken are a tremendous addition to our litigation practice group.”

Mr. Zahare will focus his transactional practice in the area of healthcare. “Healthcare is critically important to all Alaskans,” said Peter Diemer, “but the delivery of healthcare is heavily regulated by both federal and state law.
